How to Stay Spiritually Connected After Returning from Umrah

When we return from Umrah, it feels like we leave the heights of spiritual bliss. It is really very hard to leave behind the peace, unity, and devotion that you experienced in Makkah and Madina. But your real journey begins when you get home.
How do you keep that spiritual connection alive?
Reflect on Your Umrah Experience and Set Intentions
Consider your Umrah journey as a plethora of spiritual encounters. Write in your journal about the emotions that you experienced, the peace of prayers in the Prophet's Mosque, the tears you shed when making duas, and the first glimpse of the Ka'aba.
Make it a point to use your increased prayers and good actions as an extension of your accepted Umrah that strengthens your first spiritual connection.
Maintain Consistency in Salah and Worship
Remember, the cornerstone of your continuing connection with Allah is consistency.
Try to keep up the prayer routine you developed in Makkah.
Perform your five daily Salah, as you practiced in Makkah.
Try to maintain the practice of reading the Quran.
Make duas for your family, friends, and yourself.
Create a Spiritual Routine That Fits Your Daily Life

Don't miss any of your Salah. Try to perform it on time.
And wake up early to perform Tahajud Salah.
Do daily adhkaar in the morning and evening.
Develop the habit of gratitude.
Be kind with your fellow members.
Stay Connected to the Quran and Islamic Knowledge
When your Umrah journey ignites a desire to understand your faith more. Nurture this interest and recite the holy Quran and try to understand it every day.
Here, I would like to share my Umrah experience that is connected with the journey of Umrah and the Quran.
When I had performed Umrah in the holy month of Ramdhan. I can read the Holy Quran. But unable to understand its language.
During the Salah of Taraweeh, Arabs were able to understand the words of Allah and answered to the recitation in a way as if it was the message of Allah that was being conveyed to them.
That spiritual connection, I was missing in my Umrah rituals. My prayers got answered when I started learning the language of Arabs—the language of the Quran. Thank God, I now understand the Quranic verses and get the feel of spiritual connection with Allah (S.W.T.).
I suggest you read a few verses every day along with their translation and tafsir. Also, learn the Arabic language.
To seek out Islamic knowledge, read books, take online lectures, or local classes. Understand the 'why' behind Islamic rules that will strengthen your faith and provide a logical foundation for Islamic knowledge and make it more resilient.
Guard Your Environment and Choose Righteous Company
As your Umrah journey strengthens your spiritual ties, it's imperative that you must:
Protect your surroundings: Make your efforts to uplift people. You should be mindful of the media that you consume. Take care of your conversations in which you engage. Create an atmosphere that fosters your spiritual growth. Protect your friends' circle that harms your faith.
Righteous Company: Try to choose a network of friends and community that support you to do good things and help you to stay on the right path.
Keep the Flame of Dua Alive: Keep Asking Allah
You have witnessed how sincere prayers are answered in the most sacred places. Don’t let that closeness to Allah fade. Make dua regularly, in gratitude, need, protection, or reflection. Also include the whole Ummah in your prayers.
Use the Experience to Inspire Others
Tell about your Umrah journey to whom you meet in your surroundings. Make your blessings a source of light for others. Also, let your actions speak. And treat everyone with your patience, humility, and kindness in everyday life.
It is a form of Sadaqah, which spreads your spiritual journey's light wherever you go.
